Traditional Hand-Painted Craft by Cody McIvor
PINSTRIPING
Hand-Painted Lines. One-of-a-Kind Character.
Pinstriping is more than adding a few lines to a painted surface. It is a traditional hand-painted art form built on rhythm, balance, precision, and movement.
With 20 years of experience, Cody Mclvor's Sign Painting & Pinstriping Services brings that tradition to Edmonton and surrounding areas through custom, hand-painted pinstriping and ornamental line work. Each piece is painted by hand, allowing the design to follow the shape, character, and personality of the object rather than simply applying a predetermined graphic.
From subtle accent lines to elaborate ornamental patterns, Cody Mclvor, a sign painter, pinstriper and his hand painted craft creates pinstriping that becomes part of the artwork itself.

There is a difference between a printed graphic and a line painted by hand.
Hand-painted pinstriping carries the movement of the artist's brush. Every curve, taper, flourish, and intersection is created directly on the surface. The result is personal, tactile, and unique to the piece.
No two hand-painted projects are exactly alike.
For collectors, automotive enthusiasts, businesses, and anyone who appreciates traditional craftsmanship, that individuality is part of the value.

It may vary, depends on how big, how small how complicated the surface where I paint on. Most of the time the paint, it will take time to cure and that process is very unpredictable.

Traditional pinstriping can be used to frame lettering, emphasize contours, separate colors, create borders, or transform an otherwise plain surface into a finished work of art.
Cody's experience with lettering and illustration allows him to combine pinstriping with other hand-painted elements when a project calls for it. A single piece can incorporate ornamental lines, custom lettering, dimensional effects, illustrations, and decorative borders, creating a cohesive hand-painted finish from beginning to end.
